With
one of the top educational systems in the world Canada
welcomes tens of thousands of foreign students to post-secondary
institutions across the country every year.
To
study in Canada for more than 6 months you must obtain
a Study Permit in your country of origin or of legal residence.
No Study Permit is required for study less than 6 months.
To
obtain a Study Permit you must:
show proof that you have been admitted to a recognized
post-secondary institution in Canada;
show proof of payment of tuition fees;
show proof that you have sufficient funds to support yourself
for one year;
have a passport valid for at least one year at the time
of application .
In
some cases you may be asked to undergo medical exams and
provide proof you have no criminal record.
